Community members in Bakori A and B, Katsina State, actively participated in the Second Community Sensitization Campaign under the STRIVE II Project in July 2026.
Through open dialogue, lectures, and Q&A sessions led by WRCI, participants challenged deep-rooted stigma around mental health and learned that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. The campaign, attended by 54 men and women, strengthened community understanding of mental health, increased awareness of referral pathways, and secured the commitment of traditional and religious leaders to continue the conversation.
One of the Key lesson from this gathering is that when community leaders speak, families listen, and healing begins.
